1. Who we are

Grappiq is a platform for discovering comedy shows, comedians, and venues in the Netherlands. Grappiq is the data controller for personal data collected via this platform. For questions about your data, contact us at info@grappiq.com.

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use Grappiq, we collect the following data:

  • Account: email address, name, password (encrypted), and role (comedian/venue/enthusiast)
  • Comedian profile: name, bio, photo, video, genres, city, languages, social media links, email and phone number (optional)
  • Venue data: name, address, website, phone number, description, contact person name and email
  • Preferences: saved shows, followed comedians, and followed venues
  • Feedback: name, email, category, and message
  • Analytics: anonymous usage statistics via Google Analytics (only with your consent)

3. Why we collect this data

We use your data for the following purposes:

  • Providing the service: creating accounts, displaying profiles, discovering and saving shows
  • Making comedian and venue profiles visible to the audience
  • Improving the website through anonymous statistics (only with consent)
  • Processing feedback and questions

4. Legal basis

We process your data based on:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): for providing the core functionality of the platform
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for analytical cookies (Google Analytics)
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): for processing feedback to improve the service

5. Third parties

We share your data with the following processors:

  • Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage (EU hosting available)
  • Google Analytics: anonymous website statistics (only with your consent)
  • Netlify: website hosting and delivery

6. Cookies

Grappiq uses the following cookies:

  • Essential: Supabase authentication cookies (required for login, no consent needed)
  • Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (only placed after your consent)

7. Data retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is removed. Feedback is retained for a maximum of 12 months. Analytics data is stored anonymously according to Google Analytics' retention policy.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: you can download your data from your profile page
  • Right to rectification: you can edit your profile from the profile page
  • Right to erasure: you can delete your account from the profile page
  • Right to data portability: you can download your data in JSON format
  • Right to object: you can refuse analytical cookies via the cookie settings

9. Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal data, you can contact us at info@grappiq.com. You also have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
